In her opening speech, Ms. Nguyen Hang Nga emphasized that the family is the cell of society, the primary environment for shaping human character, and a place to preserve and pass on the nation's fine cultural and moral values from one generation to the next. The fine values of the Vietnamese family, such as filial piety, loyalty, solidarity, love, and mutual support, have contributed to creating the national cultural identity and becoming a crucial foundation for the sustainable development of the country. In the current context, the Vietnamese family faces many opportunities but also significant challenges. The rapid development of digital technology, social media, and changes in lifestyle and socio-economic conditions place increasing demands on family development efforts. Therefore, Vietnam Family Day 2026 is being held not only to realize the guidelines and policies of the Party and State regarding family affairs but also as an occasion to honor the fine values of the Vietnamese family, raise community awareness about the role and position of the family, and contribute to spreading messages of love, sharing, responsibility, and bonding among family members.
