Vibrant cultural and tourism activities during the holiday

With convenient transportation and diverse tourism products, Khanh Hoa attracted over 1.2 million visitors and vacationers during the September 2 National Day holiday. Alongside Miss World 2026 events and provincial art programs, tourism enterprises organized many vibrant cultural and entertainment activities, creating a memorable holiday for visitors from near and far.

Surge in tourist arrivals

This year's September 2 National Day holiday lasted for 5 days (from August 29 to September 2), and favorable weather encouraged visitors from everywhere to travel and relax in Khanh Hoa. According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Khoi, Deputy Director of Cam Ranh International Airport, the airport handled 813 takeoffs and landings with nearly 160,000 passenger arrivals and departures, an increase of 6% compared to the same period last year; including 416 international flights with over 93,000 passengers from South Korea, Russia, CIS countries, China, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia... and 397 domestic flights connecting Khanh Hoa with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, and Dong Hoi.

Alongside air travel, the volume of visitors traveling to Khanh Hoa by rail and road also increased significantly. The railway sector operated an additional 7 trips on the Saigon - Nha Trang route; meanwhile, a large influx of visitors from Ho Chi Minh City, southern provinces, and the South Central Coast - Central Highlands regions traveled by private vehicles and passenger coaches to the province's tourism centers and resorts. On September 2 alone, the cruise ship Adora Magic City brought around 3,800 visitors to explore and experience Khanh Hoa tourism.

The arterial transport routes operated smoothly, shortening travel times and helping tourists easily connect between Nha Trang, Cam Ranh, the Bai Dai area, Van Phong, and other destinations across the province. During the holiday, famous tourist attractions in the province were consistently packed with visitors, especially VinWonders Nha Trang and attractions in the Nha Trang area. Mr. Tran Van Phu, Head of the Nha Trang Tourist Pier Management Department (under the Nha Trang Bay Management Board), said that during the 5-day holiday, about 30,000 visitors took island and sea tours in Nha Trang Bay, with international visitors accounting for nearly 40%, mainly choosing tours to Hon Mun, Hon Tam, San Ho Bay... combined with scuba diving and water sports. Not far away, the Nha Trang Oceanographic Museum welcomed about 27,000 visitors; the Po Nagar Cham Towers Special National Relic received about 25,000 visitors.

The influx of domestic and international visitors into Nha Trang drove room occupancy rates at accommodation establishments to high levels. Many resorts in Bai Dai (Cam Lam - Cam Ranh) such as Alma, The Anam Cam Ranh, Fusion Cam Ranh, Ana Mandara Cam Ranh, and Radisson Blu Cam Ranh reached room occupancy rates of over 90%. In Nha Trang, hotels along Tran Phu Street and in the tourist quarter, such as Best Western Premier Marvella Nha Trang and Vinpearl's resort complex on Hon Tre Island, also recorded similar occupancy rates. In the southern part of the province, hotels and resorts in Phan Rang, Ninh Chu, Vinh Hy... also attained very high room occupancy.

Many art and entertainment programs catering to visitors

The diversity and appeal of tourism and entertainment products kept visitors staying in Khanh Hoa. Many accommodation facilities created unique photo check-in corners for guests to capture memorable moments. Not only domestic tourists, but visitors from South Korea, Russia, Kazakhstan... were also thrilled to see the red flag with the yellow star fluttering across the streets and eagerly took souvenir photos.

Tourist destinations and entertainment complexes prepared many special culinary and artistic programs. VinWonders and Vinpearl Harbour Nha Trang continued to attract tourists with "million-dollar shows" such as Tata Show, Stunt Show, Quintessence of Vietnamese Craftsmanship, along with a national flag procession parade and fireworks to celebrate the September 2 National Day. Do Theatre consistently lit up its stage with performances steeped in traditional cultural identity such as Roi Mo (Dream Puppetry) and Chum Show. In northern Nha Trang, Libera Nha Trang Urban Area hosted the "Alora Nha Trang - Radiant Freedom" concert featuring artists: Vicky Nhung, Hoang Ton, Hoang Ngan, and DJ Roxy...

In particular, on the occasion of this year's September 2 holiday, the Provincial People's Committee organized a special art program celebrating the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2026) and the 81st National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026) with 2 performance nights (at April 16 Square, Dong Hai Ward and April 2 Square, Nha Trang Ward) to serve local residents and tourists. The program featured songs praising the homeland and country, honoring the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, and expressing the aspiration to build and develop Khanh Hoa in the new era.
Throughout the holidays, activities of Miss World 2026 also contributed to drawing tourists. On the evening of September 2, the "Dances of the World - Hello Vietnam, Hello World" program took place at April 2 Square (Nha Trang Ward). Representatives from 111 countries and territories showcased the cultural identity of their homelands through music, dance, and traditional costumes. The organizing committee distributed 5,000 free tickets to local residents and tourists, helping promote the image of Khanh Hoa to international friends. "I did not expect my trip to Nha Trang to coincide with such a special event. Being gifted tickets to watch Dances of the World as well as the Miss World 2026 finals was truly a wonderful surprise," shared Ms. Marina, a Russian tourist.
Despite the large volume of visitors, tourism service quality management and efforts to guarantee security and safety for tourists were strictly implemented. Mr. Cung Quynh Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated that the department coordinated with relevant departments and agencies to require businesses to strictly comply with the Law on Tourism, publicly list prices and charge as listed, and ensure fire safety, food hygiene, and environmental sanitation. Prior to the holiday, the department inspected compliance with pricing and tourism laws at 7 accommodation and travel establishments in the area. Throughout the break, security, social order, traffic safety, and fire prevention were all well maintained.
With positive growth in visitor numbers and revenue alongside a well-organized series of cultural and artistic events, this year's September 2 National Day holiday continued to affirm the appeal of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa, generating strong momentum for the province's tourism industry to break through in the remaining months of 2026.
