The park is located within the grounds of the Institute of Oceanography at 1 Cau Da Street, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province. The attraction is open from 6:00 to 18:00 every day of the week. Current ticket prices for the Institute of Oceanography are approximately 40,000 VND for adults, 20,000 VND for students, 10,000 VND for pupils, and free for children under 6 years old; Truong Sa Park does not sell separate tickets.
A "Miniature Truong Sa" by Nha Trang Bay
Truong Sa Park was established on September 14, 2017, located in the sea-facing area of the Institute of Oceanography. The space was built to help the public gain more visual access to the resources, ecosystems, and symbols associated with Vietnam's islands and seas.
Right from the entrance, the image of the sovereignty marker creates a solemn focal point. Surrounding it are plant species associated with life on the islands, such as the Barringtonia asiatica (square-fruited combretum), combined with water areas, the coastline, and models recreating the landscapes of Truong Sa. This is not an amusement park with rides, but an attraction with educational, scientific, and marine cultural value.
Notable experiences
The journey should begin at the exhibition area for the marine resources of Hoang Sa – Truong Sa, then continue to the outdoor area. This way of visiting helps connect the story of the islands and seas, from documents and specimens to the actual landscape.
Standing in the park, you can observe a portion of Nha Trang Bay, the Cau Da area, and look out toward Hon Tre Island. The courtyards near the sea are suitable for taking souvenir photos, but the most valuable experience is still spending time reading the information, identifying the plant species, and learning about the natural conditions of the archipelago.
Timing and duration of the visit
Mornings from about 7:00 to 10:00 are usually favorable for walking outdoors. You should spend 90 to 120 minutes for the entire Institute of Oceanography and Truong Sa Park, rather than just visiting the park area and leaving.
The location is most suitable for families with children, students, educational groups, and those interested in marine science. Because part of the space is located near the water, small children need to be accompanied and supervised by adults at all times.
