Instead, look for local jeep services at the foot of the sand dunes. They know the terrain best and will take you to the site safely.
The golden time to travel Go early in the morning (before 8:00 AM) or in the cool of the afternoon (after 4:00 PM). The sun in this area is very harsh; the sand can burn your feet and exhaust you very quickly.
