| Mr. Nguyen Quang Nhat, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Board of the Provincial People's Council, speaks at the working session with the two localities. |
Currently, Dien Khanh Commune has 4 national-level relics (Dien Khanh Ancient Citadel, Trinh Phong Temple, Tran Quy Cap Temple, Dien Khanh Temple of Literature) and 15 provincial-level relics. Among them, Dien Khanh Ancient Citadel is being restored and embellished with a total investment of more than 225.5 billion VND, currently reaching over 90% of the workload and scheduled for completion on November 15.
Dien Tho Commune has 4 provincial-level relics, among which Phuoc Tuy Communal House relic is preparing for the commencement of its restoration project with a total budget of nearly 3.5 billion VND.
Members of the oversight delegation and the two localities discussed and clarified several difficulties in relic restoration and embellishment, such as: the implementation progress of some projects remains slow; the decentralization of relic management to commune-level authorities when implementing two-tier local governance poses many issues to be addressed; several relics severely deteriorated after the rains and floods in November 2025, but local investment resources remain limited...
The oversight delegation acknowledged the efforts of departments, sectors, localities, and relevant units in implementing the Provincial People's Council's resolutions on approving investment policies for historical and cultural relic restoration projects in the area. At the same time, it requested units and localities to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles and accelerate project progress. For minor damage, localities should actively mobilize socialized resources for timely repairs, avoiding delayed rectification that leads to further deterioration of relics. In addition, it is necessary to review plannings related to relics in the area to ensure the management, preservation, and promotion of relic values.
