The People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province has just issued a Plan to implement Resolution No. 13 dated May 14, 2026, of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in preserving and promoting cultural heritage values associated with sustainable tourism development in Khanh Hoa province until 2030.

The plan sets out 10 key objectives by 2030. Specifically, in 2026, the province will study the establishment of the Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Fund and issue Regulations on the management, protection, and promotion of cultural heritage values in the area. In 2027, the province will complete the 100% digitization of scientific records for monument classification along with collections of artifacts and national treasures, while deploying 3D and VR3D scanning technology for special national monuments and national monuments by 2030. Also in 2027, the Project on preserving and promoting the value of the Dien Khanh Ancient Citadel monument for the 2025-2030 period, with a vision to 2045, will be completed. By 2028, the planning for the preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of 3 special national monuments, namely Hoa Lai Tower, Po Klong Garai Tower, and Po Nagar Cham Towers, will be completed and submitted for approval.
By 2029, many important goals will be completed, including the scientific dossier of the intangible cultural heritage "Practices of Mother Goddess Thiên Y A Na/Pô Inư Nưgar worship in Vietnam" to be submitted to UNESCO for inscription on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, along with the Cultural Tourism Development Project of Khanh Hoa province; the Truong Sa Museum project is expected to be completed and put into operation in the first quarter of 2029.
By 2030, the province will complete the construction of the Khanh Hoa Province Museum and the Provincial Multi-functional Performing Arts Center; at the same time, research and develop local typical cultural and heritage tourism products. In parallel, throughout the period from 2026 to 2030, the province will prioritize the preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of 31 classified monuments in the area that are deteriorating.
The plan also concretizes 5 groups of tasks and solutions in Resolution No. 13 into 5 implementation contents, including: Strengthening the leadership of party committees and authorities, promoting the role of the political system and the People in preserving and promoting cultural heritage values associated with tourism development; improving the quality and efficiency of activities to preserve and promote cultural heritage values, building a cultural environment and life rich in traditional identity; researching and selecting typical and unique cultural heritage values for preservation and promotion associated with sustainable tourism development; building mechanisms and policies, focusing resources on preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values of ethnic groups; strengthening linkages and cooperation in preserving and promoting the good cultural heritage identity of ethnic groups associated with sustainable tourism development.
The issuance of the Plan to implement Resolution No. 13 with a specific roadmap and goals is expected to contribute to the sustainable preservation of cultural heritage values associated with tourism development, improving the material and spiritual life of the people of Khanh Hoa. The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches, and localities to implement tasks according to their assigned functions and duties, ensuring the set progress. Funding for the implementation of the plan is mobilized from the National Target Program on cultural development, the provincial budget, socialization sources, and other legal capital sources.
