The Khanh Hoa Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Center has recently sent an official document to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism regarding strengthening the protection, preservation, and promotion of the value of national treasures, as well as compiling scientific dossiers for artifacts proposed for recognition as national treasures.
The Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Center identified the Goddess Pô Nagar statue as an artifact of outstanding historical, cultural, artistic, and religious value. The artifact is closely associated with the history of formation and development of the Cham culture in Khanh Hoa Province, while also holding great potential for research and compiling a scientific dossier to propose its recognition as a national treasure.

Currently, the center is conducting research, field surveys, collection, and systematization of relevant documents. From there, it will comprehensively assess the origin, dating, material, artistic characteristics, historical, cultural, and scientific values, uniqueness, rarity, and current state of preservation of the artifact to establish the basis for compiling a scientific dossier according to regulations. It is expected that in 2027, the Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Center will continue to finalize the scientific dossier and submit it to competent authorities for consideration and nomination of the Goddess Pô Nagar statue as a national treasure.
The Goddess Pô Nagar statue is located in the Northeast Tower (also known as the Main Tower) of the Po Nagar Cham Towers Special National Relic Site (Bac Nha Trang Ward). The entire statue and its altar stand 2.6m high and are sculpted with exquisite details and lines.

In addition to the Goddess Pô Nagar statue, the Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Center is also directly managing and preserving two national treasures, including: the King Po Rome Relief at the Po Rome Tower national relic site (Phuoc Huu Commune) and the King Po Klong Garai worship statue at the Po Klong Garai Towers special national relic site (Do Vinh Ward). Both of these national treasures are well-preserved, safeguarded, and their values promoted within the religious and spiritual life of local people, as well as catering to the sightseeing needs of visitors. In particular, both treasures have been 3D digitized to create high-detail digital datasets on their forms, characteristics, and current conditions. This effectively serves the tasks of archiving, management, scientific research, exhibition, presentation, and dissemination to promote the values of these national treasures.
