This year's Po Nagar Temple Festival takes place from May 5 to May 11 (from the 19th to the 25th day of the third lunar month) and includes the following rituals: the water procession; the goddess clothing changing ceremony; the palanquin procession, requiem, and lantern release; the prayer for national peace and prosperity; the incense offering; the noon offering ceremony; the prayer ceremony of the Cham people; the midnight offering ceremony; traditional ritual sacrifices; the coronation ceremony; and the thanksgiving ceremony... At the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Phong performed the drum beating to open the 2026 Po Nagar Temple Festival.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien highlighted the value, significance, and importance of the Po Nagar Temple Festival to the people of Khanh Hoa province, as well as other provinces and cities nationwide. He emphasized that in order for the festival and the Special National Relic site of Po Nagar Temple to increasingly promote their values, all levels, sectors, local authorities, and the entire public must continue to preserve and promote the relic's value in association with sustainable tourism development, making Po Nagar Temple an attractive cultural and spiritual destination. The organization of the festival must ensure safety and civilization, preserve traditional identity, avoid commercialization and superstitious practices, and promote the advertising and introduction of the heritage, creating favorable conditions for tourists and the public to participate in the festival, thereby contributing to the local socio-economic development.

The traditional Po Nagar Temple Festival is held annually to honor, praise, and remember the merits of the Goddess Po Inư Nưgar - the Mother of the Land of the Cham people, also known as the Thien Y A Na Holy Mother to the Vietnamese people, to pray for national peace, favorable weather, and a peaceful, prosperous, and happy life. In 2012, the Po Nagar Temple Festival was included in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

This year's Po Nagar Temple Festival has over 100 delegations practicing the Mother Goddess worship belief registered with the Organizing Committee. In addition, tens of thousands of residents and tourists will visit the Special National Relic site of Po Nagar Temple throughout the duration of the festival.
