Over 500 personnel urgently completing the Miss World 2026 stage

The Dance of the World event and the final night of the Miss World 2026 pageant are drawing near. Over 500 personnel are working day and night, including during the holidays, to complete the stage and performance space at April 2 Square (Nha Trang ward) to serve the two key events of the world's leading beauty pageant.

Large-scale stage

In the final days of August, April 2 Square in Nha Trang ward became a 'giant construction site' as the Organizing Committee rushed to complete the stage for the important activities of Miss World 2026. Construction began on August 20, and by August 30, the stage had basically completed its main structure and flooring, allowing contestants to start practicing. The remaining technical and decorative systems will be completed on August 31.

According to the Miss World 2026 Organizing Committee, the stage is over 110m long and 30-40m deep. The audience area is arranged with more than 5,000 seats, not including the fanzone and surrounding standing positions, which are carefully calculated to ensure visibility, mobility, and safety. This is considered one of the largest stages ever built in this area.  

One of the important items of the Miss World stage is the large-scale LED screen system, which requires the Organizing Committee to mobilize equipment from many units and install it in spatial layers. The new technology lighting system combined with high-power sound meets the requirements of an outdoor show. The sound, lighting, LED screen, laser, stage structure, and grandstand sections are deployed simultaneously, complying with technical drawings and taking into account the effects of sun, wind, and humidity in the coastal area.  

Over the past few days, many locals and tourists have stopped to watch and take photos when passing by April 2 Square. Quite a few people were surprised by the scale of the project, especially the length of the stage and the screen system that almost covers the entire square space.

Over 500 personnel working day and night

These days, the weather in Khanh Hoa is putting pressure on the Miss World 2026 stage construction team. Most of the items are carried out outdoors with heavy equipment, requiring precise installation. To complete a large volume of work in a short time, the Organizing Committee mobilized more than 500 personnel from the structural, mechanical, electrical, sound, lighting, LED, logistics, security, and production coordination departments. The teams are divided into shifts, and at many times the construction site maintains operations almost 24/24 hours to ensure progress. After handing over the rough structure, the technical departments continue to check the load capacity, electrical lines, screen signals, sound, and lighting.  

According to a representative of the Organizing Committee, April 2 Square is located on the central axis of Nha Trang, so the transport of large-scale equipment must follow appropriate time frames and routes. During the upcoming rehearsal and event days, some areas around the square are expected to be controlled or temporarily restricted for vehicles during certain hours to ensure program operation, security, and safety for thousands of spectators. The support of Khanh Hoa province, from licensing and equipment transport to traffic division and security assurance, is an important factor helping the construction process run smoothly.  

After installation, the stage enters the system-wide trial run phase. Each LED, sound, and light cluster is tested independently before being integrated into the general control system. Contingency plans are also prepared to handle situations arising from weather or outdoor organizing conditions. "There are more than 500 personnel involved in making the stage. The crew has to work day and night, constantly working overtime to keep up with the schedule. The completion, operation, and rehearsal work will continue to take place throughout the holiday," said the representative of the Organizing Committee.

With the participation of hundreds of personnel along with the companionship of local authorities and residents, building the Miss World 2026 stage in a short time demonstrates the capacity of the Vietnamese team to organize, coordinate, and operate international events. Everyone is making their best efforts to be ready for the Dance of the World event on the evening of September 2 and the Miss World final night on the evening of September 5.
