On the evening of September 15, at 2/4 Square (Nha Trang Ward), the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the 2026 Provincial Mass Arts Competition under the theme "Khanh Hoa - Aspiration for Development". Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Commission for Popularization and Education, provincial departments, boards, sectors, units, and localities.
The competition gathers 55 mass arts troupes representing communes, wards, agencies, units, schools, and the armed forces across the province. More than 1,700 cadres and performers will present 240 performances across various genres such as singing, dancing, music, and skits... Each troupe designs an arts program featuring at least 3 performances in 3 genres, including at least 1 performance praising the homeland, the nation, and the people of Khanh Hoa.

The competition will conclude on the evening of September 22. The organizing committee will present overall delegation prizes, best director awards, best choreographer awards, and outstanding performance awards in each genre.

Speaking at the opening of the competition, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism stated that mass culture and arts are an important component of the people's spiritual life, helping fulfill the needs for cultural creation and appreciation, while fostering community bonding, nurturing love for the homeland and nation, and promoting the collective strength of unity among the people.
Held biennially, the competition provides an opportunity for localities, agencies, and units to exchange and introduce their unique cultural identities, people, and lifestyles, creating a lively cultural and artistic space. At the same time, it helps evaluate the mass culture and arts movement at the grassroots level, discovering and cultivating talented individuals to reinforce resources for the province's cultural and artistic endeavors.
