Located about 20km west of the southern provincial center (Phan Rang ward), Lanh Ra Lake offers a completely different atmosphere. In the midst of a region famously known for its sun and wind, this place enjoys a fresh and cool climate. On windless days, the lake surface is as flat as a giant mirror, reflecting the clouds, sky, and mountains. The rolling mountain ranges that surround the lake create a natural landscape that is both majestic and poetic, making everyone who sets foot here feel a sense of peace and relaxation.
Lanh Ra Lake carries a unique beauty in every season. From September to November, when the rainy season arrives, the lake is filled with water and the vegetation is lush and green, creating a scene full of vitality. In the dry season (from about January to August), the water level gradually recedes, revealing vast stretches of land along with the signature golden carpets of grass, lending the area a wild and peaceful beauty. It is this seasonal change that creates the distinct hues of Lanh Ra Lake, giving visitors the opportunity to admire a new appearance and enjoy interesting experiences each time they return.

One of the most attractive features of Lanh Ra Lake is the crape myrtle forests stretching across the hillsides. From May to July, when the crape myrtle is in full bloom, the entire space is covered in a gentle purple hue. The purple of the flowers blends with the green of the forest, the deep blue of the lake, and the undulating mountains, creating a poetic natural picture. This is also the ideal time to capture beautiful photos amidst the pristine natural scenery.

Mr. Dang Nang Tom, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuoc Hau commune, stated: "Construction of Lanh Ra Lake began in 2008, playing an important role in providing water for daily life and agricultural production, while also contributing to flow regulation and minimizing flood risks for downstream areas. According to Decision No. 481, dated February 6, 2026, of the Provincial People's Committee approving the 'Khanh Hoa Province Tourism Development Strategy for the 2026-2030 period, with an orientation towards 2045,' the Lanh Ra Lake area has been included in the list of tourism products under Sub-zone 12 - New Ecology, with the theme 'Future Valley.' Currently, the lake area has not yet been invested in for professional tourism services. However, with its fresh, peaceful natural landscape and diverse ecosystem, it is gradually becoming an attractive destination for tourists who enjoy exploring and experiencing nature. When visiting the Lanh Ra Lake area, tourists need to raise their awareness of safety, comply with local regulations, preserve environmental sanitation, and practice civilized tourism, contributing to the conservation of the natural landscape as well as the biodiversity here."
