The 2nd Lam Son Commune Fruit and Culinary Festival will take place from July 17 to July 19. The event will not only showcase local specialties but also promote the agricultural tourism model currently emerging at the western gateway of the province.

Unlike the familiar image of Khanh Hoa associated with blue seas and famous bays, Lam Son offers a different experience with fruit orchards stretching out at the foot of Ngoan Muc Pass.
According to 2025 statistics, the entire commune has over 620 hectares of fruit trees. In particular, durian, mangosteen, rambutan, and pomelo orchards are the main crops, becoming the foundation for the locality to develop experiential tourism linked with agriculture.
Many attractive activities
This year's festival is organized by the Lam Son Commune People's Committee at the Da Nhim - Ham Thuan - Da Mi Hydropower Joint Stock Company's football field. The timing of the festival coincides with the peak fruit harvest season in Lam Son, making it perfect for tourists to explore the orchards, enjoy specialties, and experience eco-tourism.
During the three days of the festival, the central area will host dozens of booths introducing fruits, OCOP products, and typical agricultural products from Lam Son and neighboring localities.
Besides shopping, visitors can enjoy many local dishes, from rustic fare to items prepared directly from the region's produce.
July 18 is considered the highlight of the festival, with a series of activities taking place simultaneously at the festival grounds and various orchards.
In addition to visiting booths and taking photos at the main stage, visitors can participate in garden games such as guessing the weight of fruits or searching for special fruits, as well as workshops for making bracelets, decorating fabric bags, and games for families and children.
Participants also have the opportunity to receive souvenir gifts featuring the festival's branding.

Along with that are experiences such as visiting durian, mangosteen, rambutan, and pomelo gardens, picking fruit by hand, learning about tree care processes, combining stream bathing, and exploring the characteristic landscapes of the western mountainous region of Khanh Hoa.
The evening of the same day will feature a music concert with the participation of singers Quang Ha, Nguyen Kieu Oanh, On Vinh Quang, Quoc Phu, Dinh Thuy, Trong Nhan, Truong Thuy Duong, Ngo Thai Bao, and To Thuy.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tien, Vice Chairman of the Lam Son Commune People's Committee, this year's Fruit and Culinary Festival is an activity in response to the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026 and serves as an important highlight in promoting and developing agriculture linked to local tourism.
"Through displays of specialty fruits, introductions to OCOP products, the culinary space, orchard experiences, and cultural and artistic programs, we hope not only to honor the labor achievements of the people but also to gradually affirm Lam Son as an attractive eco-tourism and experiential destination in Khanh Hoa," shared Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tien.
So far, preparations regarding the stage, booths, security, traffic, and environmental sanitation have been basically completed. Local authorities and residents are urgently finishing the final items to be ready to welcome guests.
Shaping an eco-tourism destination in western Khanh Hoa
The fruit festival is seen as one of the concrete steps in Lam Son's agricultural tourism development strategy. Instead of just selling agricultural products, many orchard owners have started investing in landscaping, building check-in spots, rest areas, and experiential activities to extend visitors' length of stay.

Besides fruit orchards, Lam Son also possesses many tourist attractions such as Ngoan Muc Pass, the Da Nhim Hydropower Plant—the first hydropower project in the South—stretching rice fields, and characteristic cultural and spiritual spaces.
The combination of natural scenery, agriculture, and local life is creating a unique identity for this land.
In recent years, the locality has also pushed to develop high-tech agriculture with models for growing orchids and cantaloupes in greenhouses, producing seedlings, and processing post-harvest agricultural products. Products such as dried fruits, jams, and local specialties contribute to diversifying income and become gifts for tourists after each trip.
According to local orientation, tourism will be one of the industries that creates additional value for agriculture rather than developing separately. Opening orchards to visitors, building seasonal experience tours, and organizing annual festivals are expected to create a complete product chain, contributing to improving people's income.
