Khanh Hoa Welcomes Over 1.2 Million Visitors During September 2 National Day Holiday

On the afternoon of September 1, leaders of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that during the 5-day September 2 National Day holiday in 2026 (from August 29 to September 2), the provincial tourism sector is estimated to welcome approximately 1,249,000 visitors for sightseeing and vacationing. Of these, staying guests reached 357,000 arrivals (96,000 international visitors; 261,000 domestic visitors), and day-trip visitors reached 892,000 arrivals. The province's average room occupancy rate reached about 86%. Total revenue from tourists during the holiday is estimated at 2,100 billion VND.

Thanks to thorough preparations in infrastructure, tourism products, and security and order maintenance, Khanh Hoa well served the entertainment and vacation needs of tourists during the holiday. Many tourist attractions and entertainment areas launched new products, implemented promotional programs, and refreshed tours and routes to offer diverse experiences to visitors. Units also proactively prepared human resources, refurbished infrastructure, and improved landscapes toward a green, clean, and beautiful environment to enhance service quality.

A prominent highlight was the special art program celebrating the 81st anniversary of the September 2 National Day held on the evening of September 1 at April 16 Square (Dong Hai Ward), comprising 3 chapters: "Historic Autumn - Song of the Nation", "Song of Independence - Everlasting Faith", and "Proud of Traditions - Steadfastly Stepping into the Future". The program recreated the nation's heroic spirit, praised the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and love for the homeland and country, while expressing the aspiration to build Khanh Hoa into a strong, prosperous province in the new era.

According to the plan, on the evening of September 2, at April 2 Square (Nha Trang Ward), the special art program "Dances of the World - Hello Vietnam, Hello World" took place within the framework of Miss World 2026, with the participation of 111 contestants from countries and territories around the world. This was an international cultural and artistic performance activity where representatives showcased the cultural identities of their homelands through music, dance, and traditional costumes. The event not only created a vibrant atmosphere for locals and tourists during the holiday but also contributed to promoting the image of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to international friends, attracting a large number of residents and visitors to participate in activities in the central area.

Along with large-scale art programs, during this year's September 2 National Day holiday, numerous tourist areas, attractions, and resorts across the province simultaneously organized unique culinary and entertainment activities, such as: the concert series "Alora Nha Trang - Radiant Freedom" at Liberia; the shows "Roi Mo" and "Chum Show" at Do Theatre. At VinWonders Nha Trang, visitors enjoyed the Tata Show, experienced flag and flower parades, and joined the "Proud Pieces" national puzzle-assembling activity…

In addition, Yang Bay Tourist Park, Ba Ho Tourist Area, and 100 Egg Mud Bath Resort organized many activities to stimulate tourism demand, creating favorable conditions for local residents and visitors to enjoy entertainment and relaxation during the holiday.

The Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with relevant departments and agencies to require businesses to strictly comply with the Law on Tourism, publicly list prices and sell at the listed prices, and ensure fire safety, food safety, and environmental hygiene. Prior to the holiday, the department conducted inspections on compliance with pricing and tourism laws at 7 accommodation and travel establishments in the area. Throughout the holiday, security, social order, traffic safety, and fire and explosion prevention were maintained with absolute safety.
