On May 14, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee announced that it had just issued a plan to organize the Festival Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026 with the theme "Ocean Colors - Reaching Out to the World".
According to the plan, the Festival will take place from July 17 to 19 at the 2/4 Square in Nha Trang City and several other locations across the province.
The 2026 Khanh Hoa Sea Festival is being organized at a national level, with the participation of various central ministries and agencies, along with domestic provinces, cities, and international localities that have diplomatic cooperation relations with Khanh Hoa.
The event is expected to feature nearly 30 prominent activities and programs aimed at promoting the image of the province's marine culture and tourism, while creating highlights to attract domestic and international tourists.
The main activities of the Festival include the opening ceremony on the evening of July 17 and a Carnival festival combined with a tourist float parade themed "Nha Trang Sea Flowers" on the afternoon of July 18.
On the evening of July 18, the final of the 2026 Vietnam Supermodel and Mister Vietnam contests will be held, combined with the "Runway to the World" fashion and music performance program.
The closing ceremony and an international music festival connecting the five continents, themed "Khanh Hoa: Embracing Friends from Five Continents," will take place on the evening of July 19.
In addition to the main programs, the Festival will also feature many cultural, sports, tourism, and trade activities such as an international seminar on cruise tourism development in Khanh Hoa; a Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest culture and culinary festival; the 2026 Khanh Hoa Sailing Regatta; the Vietnam Ao Dai Festival; and a week showcasing the province's agricultural products and OCOP goods.
Furthermore, there will be a trade, culture, and culinary fair titled "Taste of the Coastal City - Summer Melodies"; a giant kite festival; street art performance activities; the 2026 Lam Son - Khanh Hoa Fruit Festival; and an art photography exhibition titled "Colors of Khanh Hoa Marine Culture and Tourism 2026."
The Festival will also organize displays and practices related to the Bau Truc pottery and My Nghiep weaving cultural heritages, as well as the national intangible cultural heritage of Khanh Hoa Agarwood; plus tourism promotion programs and networking sessions for domestic and international businesses.
There will also be a seminar on pricing and service quality in tourism product development, a 2026 Khanh Hoa Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation Week, along with a series of sports activities in support of the Festival.
It is expected that the 2026 Khanh Hoa Sea Festival will attract approximately 600,000 to 800,000 visitors and members of the public.
The Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has requested that the activities within the framework of the Festival must be organized in a unique and diverse manner, with the participation of many famous domestic and international artists, while ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness, and contributing to boosting the local socio-economic growth.
