With the goal of capturing both gold medals at the 10th National Sports Games in 2026, athletes of the Sanvinest Khanh Hoa beach volleyball team are training intensively to maintain form, build physical fitness, and hone technical and tactical skills.
From August 20 to September 13, at the Military Region 5 Gymnasium (Da Nang City), the Sanvinest Khanh Hoa beach volleyball team took part in a high-quality training camp alongside experts, coaches, and athletes from the national beach volleyball team. Through this, the coaching staff had the opportunity to observe, evaluate, and fine-tune the squad to pursue their medal targets at the National Sports Games.

Immediately after returning from the long training camp, the entire Sanvinest Khanh Hoa beach volleyball team headed back to the practice court. On the morning of September 14, both male and female athletes gathered in full force to begin training. After the warm-up, on the women's court, the coaching staff had the players run around the sand court, practicing agility drills, reflexes, and sprint acceleration... Meanwhile, the men worked on tactical serving drills, first-touch reception, and net attacks.
Coach Ngo Vo Thanh Loan shared that almost all athletes across the team's tiers were present for training. Only four key players—Nguyen Le Thi Tuong Vy, Tran Van Viet, Nguyen Anh Tuan, and Le Hoang Y—were away on national team duty competing at ASIAD 20 (in Japan). At this stage, the team has largely completed its competition commitments at youth and national championship levels, allowing them to channel all efforts into training for the National Sports Games, scheduled to take place in mid-November in Ho Chi Minh City.
Meanwhile, athlete Nguyen Van Nha (who previously won a gold medal in the men's team event at the 9th National Sports Games in 2022) stated: “This is the final stretch of preparations for the National Sports Games, so the training intensity set by the coach is much more demanding. This requires us to give our utmost effort. Only by doing so can we maintain our physical stamina and peak form to compete and achieve the best results.”
At this edition of the National Sports Games, the Sanvinest Khanh Hoa beach volleyball team's objective is to defend and secure 2 gold medals across both the men's and women's events. This is by no means an easy goal for the entire squad, as teams from other provinces and cities, such as Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, and An Giang, have also demonstrated heavy investment in their athlete rosters.
Among them, the Ho Chi Minh City team is the most formidable rival, endowed with substantial resources and a thriving training scene at both professional and grassroots levels. In recent years, Ho Chi Minh City beach volleyball has added several quality young talents, mounting increasingly fierce competition against its rivals in national tournaments. In parallel, Can Tho and An Giang beach volleyball teams have also shown systematic development, especially in the women's events. Key female players from Can Tho and An Giang, such as Chau Ngoc Lan, Dinh Thi My Nga, and Mai Hong Hanh, are regular fixtures in the national beach volleyball team competing internationally.
Even though the Sanvinest Khanh Hoa beach volleyball team consistently ranks among the top performers at national tournaments, the athletes invariably endure intense competitive pressure from Ho Chi Minh City and several other localities. According to Coach Nguyen Trong Quoc, the entire team is undertaking meticulous preparations both tactically and mentally. Having clinched gold medals across 4 consecutive Games serves as a solid morale boost for the players. Therefore, despite considerable pressure from rivals, that very challenge serves as the driving force for the team to train relentlessly with the utmost determination to successfully defend their 2 gold medals at the upcoming 10th National Sports Games.
