On the afternoon of July 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Grab Co., Ltd. (Grab Vietnam) to promote digital transformation in Khanh Hoa tourism. Attendees at the signing ceremony included leaders from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Grab Vietnam, and various provincial departments and agencies.

At the ceremony, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Grab Vietnam signed an MOU covering six key areas. Among these, the two parties will focus on: Digitizing destinations and tourism activities in Khanh Hoa, including the development of a digital tourism program titled “Khanh Hoa must try” on the Grab app; integrating digital maps and service experiences into the Grab app; and launching tourism stimulus programs to encourage tourists to engage in hands-on digital interactions. Additionally, the partnership aims to digitize and promote Khanh Hoa’s culinary scene and specialties by building a “Khanh Hoa Famous Eateries” directory on the Grab platform, launching a recognition program for these eateries, and supporting restaurants in adopting localized promotional branding.
Furthermore, the initiative includes promoting Khanh Hoa’s tourism and culinary offerings through online channels, outdoor advertising, tourist spots, and KOLs managed by Grab to showcase the destination and its food to domestic and international tourists.

This partnership aims to strengthen the promotion of Khanh Hoa’s destinations, cuisine, and unique experiences to domestic and international travelers. The memorandum is effective from the date of signing through the end of 2030.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ms. Thai Thi Le Hang, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, affirmed that the signing of the MOU with Grab Vietnam holds practical significance for the digital transformation and tourism development strategy of Khanh Hoa province in the new phase. Grab’s strengths in technology, data, and its service ecosystem can contribute to promoting destinations, connecting tourism utilities, and bringing the province’s unique cultural and culinary values closer to visitors. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will accompany Grab Vietnam throughout the implementation of the cooperation, ensuring that each initiative is translated into practical activities, contributing to enhancing the visitor experience and the overall appeal of Khanh Hoa tourism.
