Expanding international cultural exchanges

In the cultural development strategy of Khanh Hoa province, cultural diplomacy is identified as one of the priority tasks. Expanding international cultural exchanges not only contributes to promoting the image of the country and people of Khanh Hoa to international friends, but also helps local residents have more opportunities to learn about and access the diverse cultural and artistic values of countries around the world.

Strengthening exchanges

Over the past years, the Ulsan Art Troupe (South Korea) has visited and performed in Khanh Hoa many times. Traditional art performances from the land of kimchi or vibrant K-Pop songs have brought special emotions to the audience in Khanh Hoa. Recently, members of the Ulsan Art Troupe stirred up the atmosphere of the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026 with famous songs by popular K-Pop singers and groups loved by young people. Mr. Lee Hee Seok - President of the Ulsan Federation of Cultural and Artistic Organizations, said: "After performing in Khanh Hoa many times, we realized that the audience here really enjoys watching K-Pop performances. To contribute to creating a bustling atmosphere for the Sea Festival, our art troupe brought songs familiar to young people, combined with exciting choreography to enhance the atmosphere of your sea festival."

Also at the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026, residents and tourists have the opportunity to learn more about the art and music of Vanuatu, Laos, and Russia through performances by artists and actors from these countries. These are the colorful melodies and dances of the inhabitants of the Southwest Pacific island nation; the gentle, passionate Laotian folk songs; and the traditional dance performances and songs with folk melodies from the land of the White Birch. Each art troupe brings its own color, contributing to the diversity of activities at the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026.

Awaiting world-class events

During this time, provincial authorities are coordinating and supporting Sen Vang Advertising Commercial and Training Co., Ltd. (Ho Chi Minh City) to organize the final round of the 73rd Miss World pageant. The competition is expected to take place in Khanh Hoa from August 20 to September 5, with the participation of contestants representing 118 countries and territories worldwide. The pageant will feature sub-contests such as Talent, Multimedia; the Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest; a flag-raising ceremony and exchange with Navy officers and soldiers at the Gac Ma Soldier Memorial Site; visits and gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and people with meritorious services to the revolution... In addition, there will be charity activities and promotion of famous landscapes, scenic spots, and historical sites in the province. In particular, the "Dances of the World - Hello Vietnam, Hello World" program on the evening of September 2 and the final night of the 73rd Miss World pageant on the evening of September 5 at 2/4 Square (Nha Trang ward) will be opportunities for residents and tourists to enjoy top-notch artistic performances.

Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa being chosen as the venue for most of the main events of the pageant shows the high appreciation of the 73rd Miss World Organizing Committee for the natural conditions, facilities, and many other related factors. Through this event, the image of the nature and people of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa will certainly be widely spread and strongly promoted to many countries and territories.

Another world-class beauty event that also chose Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa as its venue is Miss Cosmo 2026. The pageant will take place from December 2026 to January 2027 in Nha Trang ward, Nam Nha Trang ward, and several other localities in the province. The highlights of the event are the semi-final and final - coronation nights, which will be held at famous locations in Khanh Hoa province. The competition is expected to attract 90 contestants from countries and territories around the world. The Miss Cosmo 2026 event held in the province will contribute to creating a highlight to kick off the 2027 tourism year, promoting the development of event tourism, and attracting domestic and international tourists to Khanh Hoa at the beginning of the year.

Elevating cultural diplomacy

In the Provincial People's Committee's plan to implement Resolution No. 80 of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture, the content of expanding international cultural exchange, cooperation, and integration is set out with specific solutions. In particular, the entire province actively and effectively implements the Foreign Cultural Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045; strengthens and diversifies forms of information, propaganda, and promotion of the image, cultural values, land, and people of Khanh Hoa; and effectively implements international commitments on heritage preservation, cultural diversity, copyright, and intellectual property. In addition, the province also focuses on promoting the role of the overseas Vietnamese community and international organizations in promoting local culture; effectively participating in international cultural and artistic events and major forums; and promoting the values of UNESCO-recognized and inscribed heritages to promote the image of the country and people of Khanh Hoa...

According to Mr. Le Van Hoa - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to implement the above contents, the department will coordinate with the Office of the Provincial People's Committee to advise and organize the province's cultural foreign affairs tasks, ensuring close connection with socio-economic development orientation and international integration. The department will also advise on cooperation contents in cultural fields with foreign localities that have established relations with the province, foreign embassies, and international organizations in Vietnam. It will strengthen the promotion of the province's image, people, and cultural and tourism products to the international market, contributing to raising the position, prestige, and attractiveness of the locality in the integration process.
