After 2 days of vibrant competition, on the afternoon of July 28, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the closing and award ceremony of the Khanh Hoa Province Children's Book Storytelling Contest 2026 with the theme "Proud of Khanh Hoa Homeland".
This contest saw the participation of 34 out of 65 communes, wards, and special zones in the province. Among them, 16 teams from 16 communes and wards excellently advanced to the provincial final round with 32 official contestants and over 400 supporting performers in two competition categories for primary and secondary school students.

The contestants brought to the contest meaningful and touching stories with elaborate and creative investment from content to form. The teams used theatrical staging and interacted with content displayed on LED screens, applied AI technology to graphics, and used music, costumes, props, and scenery appropriately. Many selected stories had profound educational significance, closely following the contest theme, conveying messages about love for homeland, country, history, culture, and people of Khanh Hoa, and the value of books in life.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 32 first, second, and third prizes to contestants directly participating in the provincial final round and 24 consolation prizes to contestants with excellent entries that advanced to the preliminary round. Among them, the first prize for the primary school age group went to contestant Huynh Le Ngoc Gia Linh (Vinh Hai 2 Primary School, Bac Nha Trang ward); the first prize for the secondary school age group went to contestant Vo Ngoc Bang Chau (Le Thanh Tong Secondary School, Nam Ninh Hoa commune).
In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize for the overall team to Bac Nha Trang ward, the second prize for the overall team to Nam Ninh Hoa commune, and the third prize for the overall team to Phan Rang ward.
