The park is located on Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang Ward, Khanh Hoa Province, in the area of the Tran Hung Dao monument. This is a coastal public space that is free to enter and does not have listed opening or closing hours like a ticketed tourist attraction.
A historical space on the Tran Phu coastal route
Unlike parks primarily intended for exercise or events, Bach Dang Park stands out for the monument to Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan. The site is a frequent venue for incense offerings, memorial ceremonies, and historical education.
The statue of Tran Hung Dao faces the sea, combining with the relief behind it to create a solemn whole. This space is particularly suitable for visitors who want to learn more about national history during a coastal vacation, rather than just visiting commercial entertainment venues.
Surrounding the memorial area are trees, walking paths, and rest areas overlooking the beach. As a result, the park retains an accessible, relaxed atmosphere without feeling overly like an exhibition.
What to do at Bach Dang Park?
You can start by observing the monument and the details on the relief, then walk under the trees and cross to the coastal area to view Nha Trang Bay. In the morning, it is suitable for light exercise and photography in the soft sunlight. In the late afternoon, the space becomes cooler, making it perfect for resting after touring the southern area of Tran Phu Street.
This is also a point that can be connected to the Naval Academy, the Oceanographic Museum, and the coastal areas of southern Nha Trang. However, areas belonging to military units or research agencies can only be accessed according to specific regulations.
Visiting tips
The best time to visit is between 5:30–8:00 or after 16:30. You should set aside 30 to 60 minutes if only visiting the park; this can be extended when combined with walking and enjoying the sea view.
The park does not have official ticket counters. When using parking services, eating, or making purchases nearby, you should choose businesses that display prices. The monument area should be kept solemn; avoid climbing or touching the structure.
