Located in the heart of Nha Trang ward, the Agarwood Tower rises proudly like a vibrant accent against the blue sky. What makes the Agarwood Tower special?

The Agarwood Tower, a prominent symbol of Nha Trang ward, was built in 2004 and officially opened in December 2008. Originally, the tower featured a characteristic pink color, but after a renovation in 2023, it has taken on a pristine white hue, creating a fresh and modern look.

In terms of architecture, the Agarwood Tower is shaped like a blooming lotus, with five soft petals surrounding it. The structure uses concrete and glass as its main materials, creating a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. Each floor of the tower has its own distinct significance, reflecting the culture and history of the Khanh Hoa region.

What is there to see at the Agarwood Tower?

The Agarwood Tower has a total of 4 floors that visitors can explore for free. Among them, the ground floor is where the history of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee is introduced, along with images showcasing typical local features such as: bird's nests, agarwood, the whale worshipping festival, the Sea Festival, etc.

Following that is the 1st floor - where products are displayed and introduced, specifically bird's nests along with models of bird's nest harvesting.The 2nd floor - where products are displayed and introduced, specifically agarwood along with preparations and tools for burning and enjoying agarwood incense.The 3rd floor - a place for video screenings using 3D technology to introduce the typical products of Khanh Hoa. The 4th floor - a place to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the revolutionary periods.

Regarding its overall architecture, the Agarwood Tower was previously designed with an eye-catching shape of a blooming lotus flower. Using orange-pink as the main tone, the top of the tower houses a spiritual spire. In the morning, the top of the tower resembles a burning agarwood incense stick, while at night, it looks like a torch or a lighthouse on the sea. Each moment of the day brings a different beauty.

The Agarwood Tower is not only a unique architectural symbol but also deeply imbued with cultural and historical value, making it a prominent destination in Nha Trang ward.

Inside the Agarwood Tower is a diverse and attractive space for visitors:

     Exhibition space: Four floors of exhibits contain cultural stories about Khanh Hoa, from natural landscapes and local people to typical products such as agarwood and bird's nests.

     Experiential activities: Here, visitors can find information and images about the culture and traditional crafts, such as bird's nest harvesting, or enjoy the scent of incense from high-quality agarwood products.

     Beautiful views: From the upper floors, visitors can admire a panoramic view of 2/4 Square, Nha Trang Beach, and Tran Phu Street – an unmissable experience when visiting Nha Trang ward.

To date, after undergoing restoration and renovation, the Agarwood Tower has taken on a new appearance. While the architectural design remains the same, the color has changed from orange-pink to pristine white, and the windows are now covered with ocean-blue glass. Most locals feel the color after the renovation looks elegant and appropriate for a sacred structure.
